Job summary

NKC Health is seeking a Facility HIM Coder to maintain clinical databases, assign CPT, ICD-10 and HCPCS codes, and abstract medical records under the HIM Department Director and Coding Supervisor.

You will collaborate with Revenue Integrity and Patient Financial Services to resolve edits, verify code accuracy, and ensure claim processing, while responding to educational feedback and meeting production standards.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of facility medical coding and/or billing experience preferred.
• Proficient knowledge of 3M and Oracle Cerner preferred.
• Working knowledge of Official Coding Guidelines and CMS guidelines.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, compliance and reimbursement guidelines.
• Proficient computer skills, including Excel.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new software systems.

Responsibilities
