Job summary

Biovation Labs LLC in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Facility Cleaning Technician to maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene across production, common, and support areas. This role supports GMP-compliant practices and safety in a manufacturing setting.

You will follow sanitation protocols, use PPE, and coordinate with the sanitation team during peak workloads. Training is provided, with opportunities to advance within the sanitation department.

Qualifications

• Adhere to GMP rules and regulations including PPE and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness throughout all facility areas including offices, conference rooms, reception areas, hallways, breakrooms, locker rooms, warehouse spaces, manufacturing suites, and support areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors throughout the facility.
• Dust and clean desks, counters, shelving, windowsills, ledges, and other surfaces.
• Clean interior windows, doors, walls, railings, stairwells, and high-touch surfaces.
• Empty trash and recycling containers throughout the facility and replace liners.
• Maintain cleanliness of employee entrances, hallways, and common walkways.
• Clean manufacturing suites, production support areas, and warehouse locations according to established housekeeping standards.
• Sweep and maintain warehouse aisles, staging areas, and material storage locations.
• Remove cardboard, pallets, trash, and debris from designated warehouse and manufacturing areas.
• Clean non-production surfaces including walls, doors, windows, handrails, and support equipment.
• Assist with housekeeping activities that support GMP compliance and audit readiness.
• Clean and sanitize all facility restrooms.
• Restock soap, paper towels, toilet paper, sanitizer, and other restroom supplies.
• Clean breakroom tables, chairs, countertops, sinks, refrigerators, microwaves, coffee stations, and vending areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of employee common areas.
• Restock PPE supplies including gloves, beard nets, hair nets, and related consumables.
• Monitor cleaning supply inventory and notify management when replenishment is needed.
• Follow all company safety policies, GMP requirements, and sanitation procedures.
• Utilize proper PPE and cleaning chemicals according to established guidelines.
• Report maintenance, safety, or housekeeping concerns to management.
• Support facility audit readiness through consistent housekeeping practices.
• Assist with special cleaning projects and facility improvement initiatives.
• Support sanitation team activities during peak workloads.
• Participate in GMP, safety, and sanitation training.
• Learn basic sanitation procedures to prepare for advancement opportunities within the department.

Job Summary:

The Cleaning Specialist 1 is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall hygiene of production, common, and sanitation-specific areas within the facility. This role plays a key part in maintaining a safe and compliant work environment by following strict sanitation protocols and supporting production needs as required. This position is located in our new building, not our main location.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Facility Cleaning & Housekeeping

Restroom & Breakroom Maintenance

• Clean and sanitize all facility restrooms.
• Restock soap, paper towels, toilet paper, sanitizer, and other restroom supplies.

• Prior experience in industrial or manufacturing cleaning is a plus.
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals and machinery.
• Climbing Stairs and Step Ladders: Occasionally required to climb stairs and step stools to access higher surfaces or restock supplies.
