Job summary

New Way Trucks in Scranton, IA is seeking a dedicated Janitor to maintain daily cleanliness of the front office and general housekeeping of the facility.

Responsibilities include cleaning offices, conference rooms, break rooms, restrooms, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting daily; emptying waste; reporting damages; and ensuring a safe, tidy work environment. Must communicate well and work independently when needed.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others as well as independently.
• Must be able to read, understand, and follow labels/instructions for proper use of cleaning products and supplies.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to handle a high volume of work with little supervision.
• Ability to maintain regular attendance in accordance with company attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all departments including but not limited to offices, conference rooms, break rooms, restrooms, and all other operational areas.
• Maintain building cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting daily.
• Clean the entrances and exits of the work areas by keeping them free of garbage, snow, and debris.
• Routinely empty waste baskets and garbage cans.
• Perform and/or report all maintenance repairs.
• Report damages and acts of vandalism in all areas of the facility.
