Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Custodian to join our UniFirst team. As a Team Partner in the Maintenance Department, you will perform housekeeping and cleaning in office spaces, kitchens, common areas, production floors, restrooms, and outdoor areas.

The role follows a Monday–Friday schedule with occasional night and weekend overtime and on-the-job training. We offer on-the-job training and a comprehensive benefits package including 401K with company match, profit sharing, health

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• 18+ to work in heights and electricity.
• High school education and/or GED equivalent is preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning materials and safe usage of general cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
• Must be able to operate floor cleaning equipment and other tools as required.
• Ability to read, comprehend and interpret procedures and instructions in English.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from co-workers and managers.
• Ability to work overtime as needed is required.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Utilize equipment to perform housekeeping operations in office spaces, kitchens, restrooms, and production floors.
• Clean and stock restrooms, kitchens, and breakroom areas.
• Remove trash and place in designated area.
• Maintain window cleanliness and dust furniture.
• Relocate light furniture as directed and replace bulbs when needed.
• Perform cleaning on office areas, production floors, and exterior areas as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
