Job summary

Safe Flight is seeking a temporary part-time Facility Maintenance Worker in White Plains. The role supports cafeteria hygiene, equipment monitoring, waste management, and coordination with other departments. Hours are 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday, 20–30 hours weekly, with an $18/hour rate.

The position offers on-site work with potential transition to permanent based on performance, and requires a hands-on approach, strong attention to detail, and reliable teamwork.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in facility maintenance, preferably in a cafeteria or food service setting.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Ability to operate and maintain cleaning equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift a minimum of 30lbs when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks to ensure a high standard of hygiene in the cafeteria area, including tables, chairs, countertops, and kitchen equipment.
• Adhere to sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Regularly empty and dispose of trash and recycling bins. Ensure proper disposal and adherence to waste management protocols.
• Monitor and report any malfunctioning kitchen equipment, appliances, or fixtures.
• Keep track of cafeteria supplies such as napkins, utensils, and cleaning materials. Restock as needed to ensure smooth operations.
• Required to interact with coworkers and all other departments in a professional manner.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Full-Time:

Hours from 11:00 am to 3:00 p.m. Onsite Monday through Friday

Hourly rate

$18/hour 20-30 hours per week
