Job summary

Million Air is seeking a Facility/Building Maintenance technician to manage preventative and corrective maintenance for hangars and adjacent buildings. The role focuses on safe, timely completion of projects to maintain a clean, welcoming environment for customers and staff.

Responsibilities include routine inspections, coordinating with subcontractors, scheduling work, and ensuring OSHA compliance. Candidates must meet experience and background check requirements and be able to work varied

Qualifications

• Minimum four years of experience in construction related field.
• High School Diploma required.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Zero tolerance drug-free employer with pre-employment and random screening.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all projects are completed safely and on time, without affecting customers or team members.
• Evaluate and repair a broad range of facility maintenance tasks including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, masonry, and roadways; coordinate with subcontractors as needed.
• Assist in strategic planning and execution of new constructions and architectural/design activities.
• Inspect building and grounds; identify maintenance and safety issues; implement corrective action.
• Schedule work orders, obtain vendor bids, select vendors, and prepare requisitions.
• Maintain OSHA safety standards and other Million Air policies.
• Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Liaise with state and local officials having regulatory oversight and inspection responsibilities.
• Provide interior and exterior maintenance to keep the facility in 'new' condition; follow company rules.

Education

High School Diploma

Minimum four years of construction experience

Evenings/weekends/holidays availability

Objectives

Facility/Building maintenance position is responsible for preventative maintenance, major and minor repairs of all types for the building, hangars, and mechanical equipment. This position is responsible for all aspects of facility maintenance to provide a comfortable, clean, and safe facility for customers, pilots, and employees.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Responsible for ensuring all projects are completed in a safe and timely manner as to not affect the customer or team member experience.
• Evaluate and repair the broad array of facility-related maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical. Carpentry, painting, masonry, and roadways. When necessary, coordinate with appropraite sub-contractor.
• Assist in strategic planning and execution of new constructions, architectural and design activities.
• Conduct inspections of building and grounds identifying maintenance and safety problems implementing corrective action as needed.
• Schedule work order, place vendor bids for materials, select vendors and prepare requisitions.
• Maintain OSHA Safety Standards and other policies and procedure of Million Air.
• Maintain a positive team oriented attitude.
• Act as a liaison with state and local officials having regulatory oversight and inspection responsibilities.
• Provide maintenance and upkeep of the building interior and exterior. Ensure entire facility is kept in "new" condition. Adhere to company policies, procedures and rules.

Competencies

• Working knowledge of basic building maintenance
• Communicate with customers and employees in person, on phone, and through radio communications
• Must be able to interpret printed and computerized maintenance manuals.
• Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and be insurable by our insurance company (Requires clean driving record
• Write legibly to complete forms/paperwork as required
• 21 years+ with valid drivers license.

Reporting Relationship

This position reports to the General Manager

Work Environment

This position works outside in all types of weather conditions with possible contact with both moving and non-moving aircraft. This position may be exposed to hazardous noise levels, chemicals, fumes, and machinery.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, to include but not limited to:

• Must be able to lift 75 pounds
• Possible exposure to hazardous noise levels, chemicals, fumes, and machinery
• Outside work in all types of weather conditions
• Position requires bending, lifting, walking, stooping, squatting, gripping and climbing a ladder.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a non-exempt position

This position may requires working evenings and weekends, and on scheduled company holidays.

No travel is expected for this position.
