The City of Emeryville is seeking a part-time Facility Attendant to oversee recreational programs. Responsibilities include supervising staff, ensuring facility safety, and providing customer service. Ideal candidates will have strong physical abilities and experience in recreation or customer service.
**Position:** Facility Attendant (Part-Time)
**Pay Range:** $19.36/hr - $29.93/hr
**Location:** City of Emeryville
**Description:**
Under general supervision, performs a variety of administrative and program functions in support of recreation programs, including supervising staff, developing programs, and managing activities. The role involves overseeing community recreational facilities, providing customer service, and supporting event setup and cleanup. May also serve as a Park Ambassador, reporting maintenance concerns and ensuring safety.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
Completion of 10th grade or above, 18 years or older. Previous experience as a building attendant is desirable.
**Knowledge and Skills:**
Ability to do heavy physical work, follow instructions, deal courteously with the public, use sound judgment, and basic computer knowledge.
**Physical Standards:**
Must meet physical requirements including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, and operating equipment.
**Additional Requirements:**
Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Background check and fingerprinting required. CPR/AED and First Aid certification desirable. Valid California driver’s license may be required.
