Merakey is seeking a Facility Attendant for its program in Philadelphia, PA, located in Kensington. The role involves monitoring residents, maintaining safety and order, and supporting medication monitoring with supervision.

The position includes weekend and night shifts and is part of Fresh Start transitional housing with partnerships across Philadelphia VA Medical Centers. We value candidates with high school education, strong communication, and prior experience in residential or addiction

Responsibilities

• Monitor residents' behavior and ensure a safe, harassment-free atmosphere conducive to recovery.
• Perform building checks for cleanliness and safety, including all rooms.
• Complete incident reports and follow Merakey policy; report medication monitoring issues to supervisor.
• Oversee assigned chores and ensure general inspections are conducted properly.
• Complete mandated training within required time frames.

We are seeking a Facility Attendant to join our team at our program in Philadelphia, PA. The program is located in Kensington.

Earn $ 17.63

Shift: Saturday and Sunday 7am-7pm; Monday 11pm-7am

Program Details

Fresh Start transitional housing programs were developed to provide 24/7 support to Veterans and individuals with a history of homelessness, chemical dependency, and/or varying degrees of behavioral health issues. Fresh Start currently has over 150 beds that operate out of 12 different locations in Philadelphia, PA. These programs work in partnership with the Philadelphia VA Medical Centers and Philadelphia’s Office of Addiction Services (OAS). In addition, Fresh Start also has “self-pay” housing options where individuals can stay for an indefinite period of time.

Position Details

Facility Attendants monitor residents' behavior. Ensure a safe, harassment-free atmosphere conducive to recovery. Perform building checks for cleanliness and safety (this includes all rooms). Incident reporting includes writing incident reports, reporting immediately to supervisor, or program manager and following procedures as stated in Merakey policy. Monitor residents while they take their prescribed medication, report all medication monitoring issues to immediate supervisor and following Merakey incident report policy. Monitor assigned chores (if applicable) and ensure that general inspections (GI's) are done properly. Complete assigned training within mandated time frames.
