Job summary

DSV is seeking a Facility Assistant to maintain offices, storage areas, and common spaces, ensuring a clean, safe, and organized work environment for a busy warehouse operation.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, at least six months of similar experience, forklift certification, basic math and strong verbal communication. The role offers hourly pay from $14.51 to $18.13, with compensation based on experience and location, and benefits per policy.

Qualifications

• Six months experience in a similar role.

• Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during the warmer and colder months.
• Basic computer skills.
• Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program.
• Clear speaking in order to communicate effectively with vendors/customers.
• Must be able to read and comprehend written procedures and instructions.
• Able to maintain employee confidentiality.
• Physical ability to lift (50lbs), bend and reach.
• Methods in handling materials and equipment used in performing housekeeping duties.
• Work overtime as dictated by business whether mandatory or voluntary.

Responsibilities

• Maintain offices, cubical, conference rooms, restrooms, and any other office space clean and in orderly fashion.
• Prepare conference rooms with coffee, drinks, and/or food (when required).
• Maintain storage areas (neat and clean).
• Maintain cleanliness of exterior grounds (bay areas, lobby entrances, etc.).
• Empty trash receptacles in the warehouse daily at a minimum.
• Maintain floors daily to ensure cleanliness, no dirt and debris, obstacles and trip/slip hazards. Post hazard information signs where needed.
• Maintain materials in a neat, clean and orderly fashion.

For this position, the expected base pay range is $14.51 – $18.13 Hourly. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
