Job summary

Oxford Industries, Inc. is seeking a Facilities and Equipment Maintenance technician for our distribution center. The role covers HVAC, electrical systems, conveyors, forklifts, security, and overall facility upkeep in a fast-paced environment.

You will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections to ensure reliability and safety. The position may require the second shift and lifting up to 50 lbs, with a focus on quality work and compliance with codes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with vocational or technical training in distribution or related field.
• Typically 3+ years' experience with mechanical and electrical systems, HVAC, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, UPS/boilers, conveyors, or packing equipment in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with electrical controllers and welding is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain function and reliability of facility systems and equipment through preventive maintenance and testing.
• Keep maintenance shop organized and stocked with parts.
• Identify and implement changes to improve function and reliability of facility systems and equipment.
• Participate in construction projects such as renovations or shelving additions.

About the Role

The Facilities and Equipment Maintenance performs day-to-day activities involving the maintenance of the Oxford Distribution center equipment and machinery, including, but not limited to, HVAC, electrical systems, conveyors, forklifts, security and overall facility appearance.

Essential Job Functions

• Maintain function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by performing preventive maintenance program; operating and testing systems and equipment; restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts.
• Ensure maintenance shop is well organized and stocked with parts frequently needed
• Improve function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by identifying, recommending, and implementing changes, expansions, and additions.
• Participate in construction projects (e.g. renovations, additional shelving, shipping crates)
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal codes and regulations.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

Education and Certifications, Experience and Skills, and Competencies

• High school diploma or GED required, with vocational or technical training in Distribution, skilled trade or a related field
• Generally, 3+ years' experience with mechanical and electrical systems, HVAC, and hydraulic/pneumatic system, UPS and boilers, conveyors, high speed sortation and various packing equipment in a fast-paced production environment.
• Previous experience with electrical controllers, electrical trouble shooting and welding preferred.
• Ability to effectively accomplish diverse skilled work in the repair and maintenance of equipment and facilities
• Ability to interpret, illustrate, and apply regulation codes and rules.
• Ability to carry out operations safely and efficiently; utilize diverse assigned equipment and tools

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS

Possible Second Shift Hours: 4:00pm - 2:30am

Lifting and/or moving required frequently up to 50 lbs.

Bending/stooping/kneeling required frequently.

Routine standing approximately 8 hours per day.

Maneuvering the following types of equipment or machinery:

Forklifts ## Conveyor ## Etc .
