Denver Botanic Gardens is currently seeking a Full-Time Facility and Custodial Technician at our Chatfield Farms/York Street locations. Read below to see if the requirements might be a good fit for you:

Position Summary

This position acts as a customer-oriented liaison at both Chatfield Farms and York Street locations. It involves cleaning and maintaining the facilities and grounds, interacting with visitors, employees, and volunteers. Other duties include closing procedures, wildlife management, and site security. Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor visitor traffic and perform timely clean-up (trash, restrooms, etc.)
• Maintain cleanliness of exterior hardscapes
• Manage recycling collection and supplies
• Clean public and office areas
• Report safety hazards
• Assist with special projects and events
• Participate in snow removal and venue setup
• Maintain positive relationships with staff and visitors
• Attend meetings and ensure consistent attendance

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
• At least 1 year of related experience
• Ability to operate pressure washers, powered carts, and basic janitorial equipment
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Flexibility to work varied schedules including holidays and weekends
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
