Job summary

Publix Super Markets seeks an on-site Security Officer to protect associates, assets and guests, enforcing access controls and responding to interruptions. The role requires standing/walking long periods, flexibility for all shifts, and precise record-keeping with clear communication to supervisors and facility management.

Candidates should be 20+, hold a valid driver’s license, and either possess a Class D Security Officer's License or obtain within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 20 years old.
• Have a valid driver's license.
• Possess Class D Security Officer's License or obtain within 90 days.
• Able to stand/walk long periods.
• Available for all shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Able to operate a two-way radio.
• Familiar with TDPS and Outlook.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong prioritization and resource coordination.

Responsibilities

• Maintain control of access to Publix facilities by associates, guests, and other non-facility personnel.
• Provide access control, routing, and shipping/receiving processing for deliveries.
• Conduct observations and report incidents or deficiencies.
• Maintain security records and documentation for activities outside normal business.
• Communicate information to security supervisors, associates, or facility management.
