Athens Services is seeking a Shop Utility Worker to maintain the yard and support shop operations. This role involves cleaning, debris removal, and assisting with truck and equipment readiness, with overtime and weekend work as needed.

The position emphasizes safety, organization, and hands-on maintenance, including basic painting, drywall repairs, and general labor across the yard, with a focus on dependable performance and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required.
• 1 year of experience in general hands-on facility maintenance or basic construction.
• Experience with basic painting and drywall repairs; using common hand power tools and general upkeep.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the yard in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
• Pick up trash, debris, and loose materials.
• Sweep and clean work areas, parking areas, fueling areas, and walkways.
• Maintain cleanliness around dumpsters, containers, buildings, and equipment.
• Assist with general yard organization and housekeeping.
• Address water, mud, spills, or hazards; report unsafe conditions.
• Provide non-mechanical support to drivers, technicians, and supervisors.
• Assist with moving supplies, loading/unloading materials, and setting up areas for events.
