Job summary

Essense of Australia, Lenexa-based bridal wholesaler, seeks a Facilities & Warehouse Associate to join the team. You will split time between warehouse operations and facilities, supporting events and interdepartmental projects.

The role requires hands‑on experience in a warehouse environment, basic facilities skills, and the ability to lift 35–60 pounds. Overtime and occasional events support are expected.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in business or related field preferred.
  • 2–3 years of experience in a warehouse, order fulfillment or shipping/receiving environment; apparel wholesale/retail distribution experience is helpful.
  • Experience in facilities, general maintenance, event set‑up or similar hands‑on role strongly preferred.
  • Basic hands‑on facilities skills (patching/painting, assembling/moving furniture or fixtures) with a safety‑first approach.
  • Experience with inventory tracking, scanning and receiving software; familiarity with project/task management tools; proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization and accuracy; ability to multi‑task and adapt in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Professional, friendly, service‑minded communication and ability to work with internal teams and vendors.
  • Ability to lift 35–60 pounds, stand for long periods, and perform physical tasks; willingness to overtime and support events.

Responsibilities

The Role


Every bridal gown tells a story, and behind each one is a team that keeps everything running smoothly. If you’re hands‑on, flexible, and enjoy being the person others count on, we want to meet you.


As the Facilities & Warehouse Associate, you’ll join the Warehouse team and split your time between warehouse operations, (picking, packing, shipping and receiving) facilities, and internal‑team support across our warehouse and corporate office. You’ll also support interdepartmental projects and other ad hoc projects as requested such as supporting events, including set‑up, tear‑down and logistics. The warehouse is your home base, with regular trips between the warehouse and office throughout the week as the work requires.


What You’ll Do



  • Unload boxes and stock inbound shipments

  • Pick, pack and ship outbound orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

  • Sort and pull stock by style number, and place gowns on rolling racks, positioning racks throughout the warehouse

  • Assist with inventory management, including scanning items for stocktake

  • Serve as the point person for daily facilities needs at the warehouse

  • Complete small facilities and maintenance jobs at the office and warehouse, such as patching holes, painting, assembling and moving furniture and equipment, and other minor repairs

  • Cover for the Facilities and Office Coordinator during time out of the office, including day‑to‑day office and kitchen upkeep, supply checks and facility requests

  • Submit building maintenance requests and work with vendors and the landlord on larger repairs, escalating to management as needed

  • Be the go‑to resource for miscellaneous job requests from internal teams

  • Support events, including set‑up, tear‑down and logistics

  • Support interdepartmental projects and other ad hoc projects as requested


Qualifications

What We Are Looking For:



  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in business or a related field preferred

  • 2–3 years of experience in a warehouse, order fulfillment or shipping/receiving environment; apparel wholesale/retail distribution or order fulfillment experience is helpful

  • Experience in facilities, general maintenance, event set‑up or a similar hands‑on role strongly preferred

  • Basic hands‑on facilities skills (e.g., patching and painting, assembling and moving furniture or fixtures, common hand and power tools) with a safety‑first approach

  • Experience with inventory tracking, scanning and receiving software preferred; experience with a task or project management tool preferred; working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel

  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization and accuracy

  • Self‑motivated and solution focused, with good judgment and the ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Professional, friendly and service‑minded, with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build good relationships with internal teams and vendors

  • Ability to manage shifting priorities, multi‑task and adapt to change in a fast‑paced, growing environment

  • Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record

  • Ability to regularly lift 35–60 pounds, work on your feet for most of the day, squat, bend, kneel, climb and stand on ladders, and frequently push and pull rolling racks

  • Flexibility to work overtime and to occasionally assist with events or tasks outside of standard work hours
