Job summary

The Herbert Wertheim UF Scripps Institute For Biomedical Innovation & Technology in Palm Beach is seeking a Utilities Operator to support campus plant operations. The role involves maintaining building mechanical, HVAC, electrical, water technology, and related facility systems, performing preventative maintenance, inspections, and rapid response to alarms.

You will use Building Management Systems and CMMS, coordinate shutdowns, manage inventory, prepare reports, and work as an essential member

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1 year of relevant experience.
• Vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily building operation checks and rounds.
• Respond to alarms and monitor BMS/CMMS equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and reporting on building systems.
• Coordinate equipment shutdowns, inventory, and pass along logs.
