Job summary

VulcanForms Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our 24/7 manufacturing facility in Massachusetts. You will maintain CNC equipment, electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and general facility maintenance to maximize uptime. This role involves cross-functional collaboration and adherence to safety standards.

The position covers Friday to Sunday, and every other Thursday, 6am–6pm, with pay differentials for non-standard shifts. Prior CNC maintenance experience is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on CNC equipment maintenance and repair.
• Strong knowledge of electrical schematics and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Familiarity with OSHA Lockout/Tagout procedures and general machine safety protocols.
• Proficient reading of manuals and blueprints.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting facility and machine maintenance operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with maintenance planners and the manufacturing department to build a weekly proactive maintenance schedule with detailed job plans.
• Troubleshoot and repair subtractive and post processing equipment by disassembling, inspecting, and reassembling components.
• Install, overhaul, and maintain electronic, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems on equipment and machinery.
• Interpret and utilize technical documentation such as blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals to guide troubleshooting and repairs.
• Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment and facility systems to reduce unplanned downtime.
• Diagnose root causes of equipment malfunctions and perform corrective actions efficiently.
• Safely dismantle machinery to replace or repair worn or defective components, ensuring proper reassembly and function.
• Operate a wide range of hand and power tools associated with electrical, mechanical, and metalworking tasks.
• Assist in shipping and receiving duties as operational needs require.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior maintenance personnel.
• Comply with all OSHA safety standards and company policies, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Job Purpose

As a Maintenance Technician , you will be responsible for supporting our manufacturing facility, ensuring optimal machine uptime and facility functionality as well as our CNC machines and post processing facility. The position may involve cross-functional support in areas such as manufacturing maintenance, facilities upkeep, and shipping/receiving operations as needed. VulcanForms is a 24/7/365 operation. Physical Requirements

• Must use safety protection when and where required.
• Comfortable working around machinery in a controlled industrial environment.

The hourly pay range for this position varies by level; final level and compensation will be determined based on a candidate's experience.This role shall also include a pay differential of 5% on any applicable shift not included in the standard base-pay shifts.
