VulcanForms Inc. is seeking a Machine Service Technician to support our additive manufacturing environment. You will perform mechanical assembly maintenance, troubleshoot electro-mechanical and pneumatic issues, and execute routine preventative maintenance on our printers.

This role operates in a 24/7/365 setting and includes shift coverage from Friday through Sunday and alternating Thursdays, 6:00pm–6:30am. Strong blueprint reading and safety discipline are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of related experience in industrial machine service or similar roles.
• Experience with electro-mechanical and pneumatics assemblies.
• Familiarity troubleshooting complex systems and components.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule preventative maintenance on Additive Metal Printers.

Job Purpose

As a Machine Service Technician at VulcanForms Inc., you will work in an operations shop floor environment and help to ensure our cutting edge technology is running effectively. Your role will involve mechanical assembly maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues and performing routine preventative maintenance to support the operation of the additive manufacturing machines. Employees in this role are potentially exposed to moving mechanical parts and loud environments. VulcanForms is a 24/7/365 operation. This shift covers Friday through Sunday, and every other Thursday, from 6:00pm - 6:30am.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule preventative maintenance activities on the Additive Metal Printers throughout the facility.
• Prioritize maintenance activities to ensure downtime is kept to a minimum.
• Maintain 3d printing systems, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and fiber laser systems.
• Work collaboratively with Operations, Machine Build and Engineering to resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Identify and communicate updates to TPMs that may be required through hands on observation.
• Provide status updates to management on assigned projects.
• Assist with installation of equipment and machines in production.
• Reading mechanical blueprints to perform maintenance duties.
• Adhere to and support Environmental Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of job-related experience, preferably in an industrial machine service technician role or machine-building department, or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
• Experience with electro-mechanical and pneumatics assemblies
• Familiarity working with complex systems and a strong ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Preferred

• 4+ years of experience building automated equipment
• Ability to read/understand mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical drawings and schematics
• High precision, close tolerance proficiency
• Ability to use all hand tools
• Experience with the electronics assembly techniques: wiring, crimping, soldering, ESD protection
• Aware of design tools and techniques
• Proficient in standard and metric systems

The hourly pay range for this position varies by level; final level and compensation will be determined based on a candidate’s experience.This role shall also include a pay differential of 15% on any applicable shift not included in the standard base-pay shifts.

Level 2: $28.12 – $38.67

Level 3: $32.60 – $44.83
