Job summary

Community Health Network is seeking a Maintenance Technician for night shift to keep the hospital's environment safe, functional, and clean for patients, visitors, and staff.

You will perform preventive maintenance, operate and troubleshoot hospital systems, and support department goals with time-accurate records. A high school diploma or GED is required and licensure is not necessary for this role.

Qualifications

  • Six months minimum experience in electrical, mechanical, or related maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge of maintenance principles, theories, and operations.
  • Ability to read and write at a high school graduate level.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance on hospital equipment and systems.
  • Operate a broad variety of hospital equipment and systems.
  • Perform construction tasks for furnishings equipment and systems.
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance parts and materials.
  • Provide training on procedures, equipment, and system operations.
  • Monitor operation status of hospital equipment and systems.
  • Ensure high-quality cost-effective maintenance support for the hospital.
  • Respond to customer needs concerning hospital systems or operations.

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining an environment of care which provides a safe, functional, and clean treatment facility for patients, visitors, and staff. Ensures all critical, life safety and equipment systems are maintained to ensure their most efficient operational readiness.


Your exceptional skills

The role requires a working knowledge of maintenance principles, theories, and operations. Knowledge of basic hand and power tools. Good oral and written communications skills – including reading and writing skills at a high school graduate level. Ability to work with peers in a team situation.


May perform the following duties:



  • Performs preventive maintenance on hospital equipment and systems.

  • Operates a broad variety of hospital equipment and systems.

  • Performs construction tasks for furnishings equipment and systems.

  • Responsible for maintenance parts and material inventory to ensure maintenance functions can be completed.

  • Pursues educational improvements and provides training on procedures, equipment, and system operations.

  • Serves as a maintenance resource to monitor the operation status and condition of hospital equipment and systems.

  • Works to ensure the department provides high-quality cost-effective maintenance support for the hospital.

  • Serves as a maintenance source to monitor the operating status and condition of equipment and systems.

  • Responds to customer needs concerning hospital systems or operations and communicates with supervisor.

  • Maintains and completes maintenance journals, logs, and time sheets daily

  • Evidence exists of on-going effort to increase technical skills. Conducts department in-service training sessions.

  • Six months minimum experience in electrical, mechanical, or related maintenance experience.

  • Must have high school diploma or GED.

  • Licensure is NOT required for the Maintenance Technician.
