Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Indianapolis seeks an Instrument Technician for a full-time evening shift. The candidate will provide technical support by selecting, assembling, and processing instruments and equipment. Qualifications

  • Experience preferred.
  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or CBSPD preferred upon hire.
  • Must demonstrate self-direction and motivation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support by processing instruments and equipment.
  • Responsible for cleaning and maintaining all instruments and equipment.
  • Ensure care and preservation of instrumentation.

Skills

Make a Difference
  • The Instrument Technician provides technical support by selecting, assembling, and processing instruments and equipment for use.
  • Responsible for the cleaning, decontamination, maintenance and preservation, and sterile processing of all instruments, equipment, and non-sterile supplies.
  • Responsible for the care and preservation of all instrumentation.
Exceptional Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience preferred.
  • Must possess knowledge of surgeon preferences, procedures, instrumentation, equipment and decontamination/sterilization.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician CRCST or CBSPD preferred upon hire. If hired without certification must be obtained within one year of hire date.
  • Strong written, verbal, and nonverbal interpersonal and professional communication skills are required.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to prioritize, organize and multi-task.
  • Must be able to take direction well but also be self-directed and motivated.
  • Requires a high degree of responsibility and responsiveness.
