Job summary

Harmony Senior Services, LLC is seeking a maintenance-focused professional to perform a broad range of tasks in our Chester, VA community. You will safely operate tools, perform repairs, paint surfaces, and help with groundskeeping while coordinating with residents and staff.

The role requires reliable teamwork and adherence to schedules. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of relevant experience, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work flexible

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of maintenance work experience required.
• Knowledge of building maintenance practices and materials.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to complete tasks thoroughly and on time.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tools and machines used in maintenance.
• Order materials and handle phone communications as directed.
• Repair building, equipment, and appliances per direction.
• Disassemble/move furniture within the community.
• Review maintenance logs and respond to requests promptly.
• Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled.
• Prepare and paint surfaces in the community.
• Maintain exterior grounds, possibly assisting with landscaping and trash removal.
• Perform basic electrical tasks such as changing light bulbs.
• Transport residents in community vehicle to appointments.
• Assist with community vehicle maintenance schedule.
• Assist maintenance director with resident safety drills.
• All other duties as assigned.
