Job summary

The County of El Dorado’s Health and Human Services Agency seeks an Agency Facilities Technician to perform a variety of routine facilities support tasks, including equipment setup, workspace moves, minor repairs, safety and access issues, and daily operations at HHSA sites. The role includes moving and installing furniture, staging supplies, and assisting with facility logistics.

Qualifications

• Combination of required experience, education, and training provides essential knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Equivalent to graduation from high school; AND One year of experience in basic facility support, maintenance, or operations tasks.
• Experience with furniture installation, light building repairs, troubleshooting equipment, or assisting with facility logistics is desired.
• Safe use of hand and power tools is required.

Responsibilities

• Move, lift, assemble, position, and install office furniture and equipment.
• Install, adjust, and repair modular furniture systems and cable management.
• Transport equipment, supplies, and materials between HHSA locations.
• Perform basic onsite troubleshooting and escalate complex repairs.
• Organize, inventory, and maintain storage rooms and surplus areas.
• Stage locations for supplies and track available assets.
• Escort contractors and vendors, provide site access and monitor work areas.
• Maintain building hardware, door closers, hinges, and hardware for security and access.
• Provide general onsite support during power outages or equipment failures.
• Attend onsite and offsite meetings; operate County vehicle; travel as required.
