Job summary

The Roskamp Institute, Inc. in Sarasota, FL is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician. The role covers general repairs, light electrical and plumbing, and routine campus upkeep in a research and clinical environment. The position is full-time with an hourly salary range and on-site work.

You will perform preventive maintenance, assist vendors, and support janitorial and space setup tasks. A proactive, safety-minded individual with basic computer skills and strong work ethic is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and building systems.
• Identify potential issues and propose practical solutions.
• Complete tasks, document work, and notify manager for follow-up.
• Address day-to-day work orders for offices, labs, and clinics.
• Assist vendors with site access and cleanup as directed.
• Maintain logs, inventory, and service-request updates.
