Job summary

The Wendy's Company is hiring a Facilities Technician to support restaurant operations across our corporate portfolio. You will perform maintenance and repair of equipment, execute preventative maintenance, and manage work orders with timely updates and close-out actions.

You will communicate technical information clearly, use company software to document tasks, and work with internal teams and external vendors.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of related experience in general shop and/or building maintenance is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of strong basic trade skills including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, commercial cooking equipment, appliance repair and basic HVAC/refrigeration
• Knowledge of industry compliance and safety awareness
• Ability to plan and schedule
• Ability to troubleshoot
• Ability to demonstrate adaptability
• Ability to demonstrate problem-solving skills
• Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills
• Ability to demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair cooking and prep equipment (e.g. oven, grill, fryer, ice machine, Frosty machine).
• Provide interior and exterior maintenance services including electrical repair, plumbing repair, painting, carpentry, floor tile repair, and ceiling repair.
• Follow Preventative Maintenance schedules as outlined by leadership.
• Develop and maintain working relationships with internal customers, suppliers and service providers; order and return parts promptly.
• Review and complete work orders and/or projects in a quality manner within established timeframes.
• Provide comprehensive facilities visit summaries with next steps and close-out actions.
• Communicate technical information clearly to the organization.
• Operate a company van and maintain a parts inventory for availability.
• Maintain tools in good working condition.
• Meet department and company goals.
• Analyze facilities and maintenance issues to reduce downtime.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and decide on repair or replacement steps.
• Respond to emergency situations with urgency as needed.
• Attend staff meetings and other required meetings.
• Work hours including on-call, holidays and weekends.
• Other duties as assigned.
