Job summary

The Children's Cabinet, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician in Reno to manage daily janitorial operations across two buildings and perform routine maintenance tasks. The role includes supplies management, coordinating vehicle upkeep, and serving as a frontline contact for vendor interactions.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of facilities experience, basic electrical/plumbing/HVAC skills, and a valid Nevada driver’s license. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of maintenance, janitorial, or facilities experience.
• Valid Nevada driver’s license with clean driving record and ability to operate a company vehicle.
• Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds; perform physical tasks including standing, bending, climbing stairs.
• Experience with basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC maintenance; escalate larger issues to licensed vendors.
• Construction experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning of offices, common areas, restrooms, and break rooms at two primary buildings.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning and facilities supplies and place orders to prevent shortages.
• Perform basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC troubleshooting and maintenance; escalate larger issues to licensed vendors.
• Carry out general maintenance and minor repairs (paint, hardware replacement).
• Monitor landscaping and coordinate with vendors for upkeep.
• Coordinate routine vehicle maintenance and keep service records.
