Job summary

The candidate will read technical manuals and schematics, work with contractors, and maintain maintenance logs while supporting safety initiatives and basic groundskeeping as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–5 years in facilities maintenance or related work.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics, and equipment docs.
• Basic computer skills; CMMS preferred.
• Strong problem solving and time management.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic repairs on HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and mechanical systems.
• Respond to facility work orders, troubleshoot and resolve issues to reduce downtime.
• Assist in equipment installations, moves, and general facility modifications.
• Monitor and maintain building infrastructure for cleanliness and functionality.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Maintain maintenance records and logs for equipment and work performed.
• Support safety initiatives and ensure tools meet safety standards.
• Assist with snow removal, landscaping, and basic groundskeeping as needed.
• Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies; notify leadership for reorder.
• Follow Vertiv safety policies and promote a hazard-free environment.
