Job summary

Myrtle Beach Manor is seeking a Maintenance Tech / Facilities Assistant to join their team at the Myrtle Beach community. The Facilities Assistant supports the Facilities Director in upkeep, minor repairs, and coordinating maintenance tasks across the property.

Responsibilities include daily log reviews, inspections, minor repairs, liaison with vendors, and ensuring safe, clean facilities. Strong communication and flexibility to work weekends/evenings are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of job-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Review the maintenance log daily and complete tasks within scope of duties (initial and date each task).
• Inspect furniture and schedule maintenance with vendors.
• Perform minor repairs (faucet washers, latches, toilet handles, bulbs, hinges).
• Hang bulletin boards, pictures, coat hooks and items in suites/offices.
• Liaise with Facilities Director, Executive Director and external vendors.
• Touch up paint, furniture refinishing, moving, and material transport for disposal.
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment to protect floors/fixtures.
• Steam clean or shampoo carpets.
• Adjust heating, ventilation and cooling systems (change filters).
• Gather and empty trash.
• Remove debris from porches, parking lot and dumpster area.
• Replace light bulbs throughout the community.
• Notify supervisor of major repairs via maintenance log.
