New Journey, a Genesis10 company, is seeking a Facilities Technician for a 3-month contract position with the potential for a contract extension or conversion.
Compensation: $30.00 per hour
The main function of a Facilities Technician is to provide general maintenance support for the assigned buildings.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor the facility to ensure that it remains safe, secure, and well-maintained.
- Troubleshoot power, HVAC system and controls, and mechanical systems.
- Maintain general & preventative maintenance, carpentry, plumbing systems, and vendor management.
- Replace lighting system bulbs and ballasts as needed.
- Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials, as requested.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 5-7 years experience required
- Detail oriented and must have extensive knowledge on Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Previous experience in a building or equipment maintnenace is highly preferred
- Possess valid DL
- Fluent in English
- Certifications in a maintenance field is a plus
- Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to use hand and electrical tools
