Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas in Plymouth, MN is seeking a Facilities Technician IV on-site to maintain and repair facilities, systems and equipment. You will respond to work orders, prioritize repairs, and operate the Daikin BMS and CMMS (x5) for maintenance scheduling.

Minimum qualifications include an HVAC associate degree, EPA 608 refrigerant certification, 7+ years experience, PIT certification, and no visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Two-year associate degree in HVAC maintenance-related subject matter (e.g., HVAC/R Certified Technician).
• Universal refrigerant certification (EPA 608).
• 7+ years experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification.
• Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of facilities, systems, or equipment.
• Respond to and troubleshoot maintenance requests involving electrical, structural, plumbing and equipment repair or replacement.
• Perform scheduled maintenance in the CMMS and input new maintenance schedules as equipment/facilities change.
• Ensure a clean work area and uphold safety and environmental policies.
• Collaborate with contractors and submit purchase order requisitions for parts.
• Monitor and operate the Daikin Building Management System (BMS) and use x5 for PM management.

Education

Two-year associate degree in HVAC maintenance-related subject matter (e.g., HVAC/R Certified Technician)

Universal refrigerant certification (EPA 608)

7+ years experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification

Daikin Applied is seeking a Facilities Technician IV who is responsible for the repair and maintenance of the organization's facilities, systems, or equipment. The position receives work order requests for facilities maintenance from employees,ensures work is performed in a timely manner, and triages requests to prioritize the most critical repairs.

Location: Onsite, Plymouth, MN

What you will do:

• Comply with Company safety procedures at all times

• Support laboratory testing activities in accordance with standard procedures, test requirements, and the ISO 17025 standard

• Respond to and troubleshoot maintenance requests involving electrical, structural, plumbing and equipment repair or replacement

• Perform all scheduled maintenance as established in x5 (Daikin's CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System)), and provides input into new maintenance schedules as equipment/facilities are added or changed

• Ensure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are upheld at all times

• Implement corrective and preventative actions to reduce costs and improve reliability

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair test rooms, test cells and facilities

• Maintain chillers

• Direct and work alongside contractors, as needed

• Submit purchase order requisitions for parts

• Ensure facilities comply with all environmental policies and procedures

• Assist in activities related to internal and external environmental audits

• Respond to emergencies and support after-hours facility needs and activities as required

• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills

• Obtain powered industrial truck certified training within a year

• Maintain effective communications across all departments

• Monitor and operate the Daikin Building Management System (BMS)

• Utilize x5 for work order and PM (Preventative Maintenance) management

• Assist and perform other work as assigned to support facilities activities

• Maintain a working knowledge of EH&S safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from$31.74/hr - $50.77/hr in Minnesota. The range displayedrepresentsthe pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
