Job summary

Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America is seeking a Skilled Facilities Technician in De Soto, Kansas to join a fast-paced manufacturing team building a large lithium-ion battery factory. You’ll monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, supporting safe operations and uptime in a cutting-edge facility.

The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, cross-functional collaboration, and adherence to safety and CMMS processes.

Qualifications

3+ years of facilities, industrial maintenance, or related experience
Intermediate knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or utility systems
Ability to perform troubleshooting and repairs with limited supervision
Reading and interpreting diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
Experience using CMMS systems for maintenance tracking and documentation
Must have working-level English language skills

Responsibilities

Perform routine rounds on mechanical and electrical systems with limited supervision
Troubleshoot and repair using standard tools and established procedures
Respond to operational issues and diagnose system disruptions
Monitor and maintain facility systems including HVAC and electrical distribution
Identify equipment abnormalities and support continuous improvement efforts
Provide training and mentorship to junior technicians
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure compliance with standards
