Job summary

SPCA of Texas is seeking a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform routine care of buildings, grounds, and equipment. You will assist with troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance, while managing vehicle care and keeping accurate maintenance records.

Responsibilities include grounds upkeep, operating as a fundraiser ambassador, and responding to after-hours calls as needed. A Texas driver's license is required, with some certifications preferred or obtainable within 6

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds and work in varying weather conditions.
• Experience with electrical, plumbing or carpentry tasks is preferred.
• Valid Texas driver's license and driving duties as required.
• HVAC/plumbing knowledge and OSHA safety awareness are beneficial.
• Willingness to obtain required certifications within specified timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Routine maintenance of assigned facilities and grounds.
• Maintain heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical and vehicle systems.
• Maintain vehicle logs and schedule routine maintenance.
• Oversee grounds maintenance including mowing and irrigation.
• Provide excellent customer service and represent the SPCA of Texas.
