Volunteers of America Colorado Springs is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician II to maintain and repair VOA facilities, ensuring safety and good repair of buildings and grounds. The role may involve supervising volunteers and providing after-hours emergency coverage as scheduled.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and janitorial tasks, while keeping accurate work orders and supporting a safe living environment for residents and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of maintenance technician experience.
• Knowledge of hand and power tools and their uses.
• Valid Colorado Driver’s License and good driving record.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and employees.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on housing facilities, equipment and grounds across multiple trades.
• Identify and address safety hazards for clients, staff, facilities or the public.
• Assist in monitoring apartment make-ready schedules for timely rent-ready units.
• Ensure 24-hour response to service requests.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on a daily/weekly/monthly schedule.
• Maintain facilities to agency safety/quality standards and curb appeal.
• Maintain thorough work orders and documentation per VOA guidelines.
• Assist with after-hours, weekend, and holiday emergency coverage.
• Mentor Maintenance Technician I and inventory supplies.
