Job summary

The City of Peoria Facilities Division seeks a skilled Facilities Technician II to maintain and repair municipal buildings, electrical systems, lighting, plumbing, and general facility infrastructure. This role performs hands-on electrical troubleshooting, thermographic inspections, minor fabrication, and equipment installation across city facilities.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a minimum of two years of related experience, and a valid Arizona Class D driver's license.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of two years of directly related facility maintenance/trades experience.
  • Valid Arizona Class D Driver's License upon hire.
  • Ability to pass a Police Department background check.
  • Certifications within 12 months: EPA Universal, Level 1 Thermography, OSHA 10-Hour General Industry.
  • Within 18 months: Building Operators' Certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair municipal buildings, electrical systems, lighting, plumbing, and general facility infrastructure.
  • Perform hands-on electrical troubleshooting and NFPA 70B compliant thermographic inspections.
  • Conduct minor fabrication and equipment installation across city facilities.
