Job summary

City of Peoria, AZ is seeking a Facilities Technician I to perform a variety of semi-skilled maintenance and repair tasks across City buildings, facilities, and equipment. The role follows a 4/10 schedule: Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, nine months of relevant experience, and a valid Arizona Class D driver's license. Post-hire certifications include OSHA 10 within 12 months and completing the Electric League program within 18

• Nine months of related experience.
• Valid Arizona Class "D" Driver's License on hire.
• Background check: Limited Police Department Background Check.
• OSHA 10 within 12 months.
• Within 18 months: Complete Electric League of Arizona's Facilities Maintenance Technician Program.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain evaporative cooling systems, plumbing, and light carpentry.
• Interior building maintenance: ceiling tile replacement, drywall repair, painting, door hardware maintenance, minor cubicle furniture modifications, light fixture/bulb replacements.
• Inspect backup generators and critical City equipment.
