Job summary

Neurocrine Biosciences is seeking a Facilities Technician to perform mechanical service calls, repairs, and support facilities and EHS teams in our San Diego facility. You will handle general building repairs, installation and maintenance of furniture, fixtures, and equipment in lab and office areas, and contribute to special projects including relocations and lab space setups.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or an Associates degree or equivalent required.
• Proficiency in HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems; painting and drywall repair.
• Experience with furniture/fixtures installation and repairs.
• Knowledge of laboratory gas systems and equipment is a plus.
• Reading blueprints, schematics and technical manuals.
• Ability to work with outside vendors for supplies and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Respond to facilities help desk requests with timely, high-level customer service.
• Support relocations, reconfigurations, and setup of new services and spaces.
• Assist with internal employee and lab relocations.
• Perform maintenance trades such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing and painting as needed.
• Assist with logistics for corporate events and conference rooms.
• Monitor and maintain safety and general operation of the facility.
