Job summary

Road to Responsibility in Marshfield, MA is seeking a full-time Facilities Maintenance Assistant. The role supports the Maintenance Operations Director and AVP with upkeep of RTR properties and requires adherence to safety codes and proper vehicle handling.

The candidate should have a high school diploma, strong problem-solving and organizational skills, and be able to work independently or with others. A valid driver’s license and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to work independently and flexibly with others.
• Excellent organization skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Maintain a Valid Driver’s License.
• Willingness to authorize a Criminal History Background Check (CORI).
• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Responsibilities

• Maintain building repairs as directed.
• Comply with town, state, fire and safety codes.
• Perform carpentry, plumbing, electrical and landscape tasks.
• Drive company vehicles including, box truck, vans and pull trailer.
• Deliver, swap and transport vehicles.
• Donation pick-ups.
• Move furniture.
• Maintain safety and access/egress of buildings (snow/ice removal, etc.).
• Prepare for company meetings, events and fundraisers.
• Participate in on-the-job training and provide coaching to new co-workers as directed.
• Attend all required meetings.
• Adhere to agency safety standards.
• Perform additional duties, or substitute for others as required.
• Adhere to all RTR policies and procedures.
• Develop and provide all services in accordance with RTR’s philosophies including staff and Board beliefs.
