Job summary

KIPP Texas Public Schools is hiring a Facilities Technician to maintain campus buildings and grounds, manage essential systems (HVAC, alarms, elevators, irrigation), and perform repairs. The role offers on-call support and cross-campus travel as part of a statewide facilities team, with on-site and in-person responsibilities.

Reporting to the Sr. Facilities Technician, you will receive on-the-job training and professional development while contributing to a safe learning environment for students

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of facilities or maintenance related experience.
• Knowledge of building systems and their maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

• Maintain campus buildings and grounds.
• Manage building systems including alarms, elevators, HVAC, irrigation.
• Perform basic painting, pest control, lawn care, plumbing and electrical repairs.
• Execute work orders with quality and timeliness.
• Coordinate with staff for events and campus activities.
• On-call response during and after operating hours.
• Attend meetings and training sessions.
