Job summary

Diocese of Allentown seeks a Maintenance Technician for Holy Family Villa and Secretariat for Temporal Administration in Bethlehem. The role involves routine maintenance, coordinating HVAC and generators, and supervising vendor work to ensure safe, efficient operations.

The position requires High School diploma and 3–5 years of healthcare maintenance experience, plus knowledge of building codes and safety regulations. Normal hours are 40/week with on-site duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of building maintenance experience (preferably healthcare).
• Working knowledge of federal and state building codes and safety regulations.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, heating and air conditioning, roofing, boilers, painting, grounds, and appliance repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs at Holy Family Villa and Diocese offices.
• Coordinate HVAC equipment and backup generator maintenance and operation.
• Schedule vendors and contractors for repairs and maintenance; maintain records.
• Maintain/repair elevator, laundry, and dietary equipment as needed.
• Oversee preventative maintenance and safety inspections of buildings and grounds.
• Coordinate snow removal, landscaping, and exterior grounds maintenance.
• Maintain Diocese owned fleet vehicles and office equipment.
• Assist with security measures and distribution of keys/access badges.
• Participate in training on fire safety and emergency procedures.
• Support procurement and distribution of office supplies.
