Job summary

Peter & Paul Community Services seeks a Facilities Specialist to maintain the safety, functionality, and mechanical integrity of PPCS facilities in St. Louis.

You will specialize in HVAC, plumbing, and building systems, performing diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs while coordinating with the Facilities Coordinator to keep operations running smoothly. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 5+ years in facilities/maintenance, and technical HVAC/plumbing certification

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of facilities or building maintenance experience, with hands-on HVAC and/or plumbing work.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical system operations, troubleshooting, and safety standards.
• Valid driver’s license required and ability to travel between PPCS sites.
• Experience with digital work order systems and basic Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems.
• Complete plumbing repairs and installations including fixtures, piping, drainage, and water systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety codes and conduct preventive maintenance.
• Document maintenance work and coordinate with the Facilities Coordinator.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies and support site maintenance.
