Job summary

Biocomposites is an international medical devices company dedicated to infection management in bone and soft tissue. The Facilities Technician role in Keele involves general building upkeep, HVAC support, and coordination with external contractors to keep the site safe and functional.

You will perform routine inspections, address issues proactively, and help ensure compliance with health and safety standards while maintaining a high-quality workplace environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with general repairs and routine inspections.
• Basic HVAC or electrical troubleshooting ability.
• Strong problem-solving and initiative to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine building maintenance to ensure a safe, presentable environment.
• Inspect facility systems and address issues proactively.
• Support HVAC/air-conditioning maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Assist with minor electrical tasks such as diagnosing faults and replacing fixtures.
• Coordinate and oversee external contractors for specialised repairs or installations.
• Manage and prioritise maintenance requests from staff and users.
• Maintain tools, equipment and supplies for day-to-day operations.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and regulatory standards.
