Instrumentum in Richmond, VA is seeking a Facilities Technician to maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related systems at our offsite reprocessing center. Two full-time shifts are available: day and evening, with an after-hours on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of experience in building maintenance or facilities operations.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely.
• Willingness to participate in an after-hours on-call rotation for emergencies.
• Ability to work varied schedules.

Responsibilities

• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and facility infrastructure.
• Perform routine inspections to catch wear, safety concerns, and equipment issues early.
• Respond to maintenance work orders from sterile processing and other departments.
• Handle basic repairs — filters, leaks, lighting, minor equipment malfunctions.
• Monitor the building automation system and report anomalies.
• Perform general upkeep: painting, minor carpentry, door and hardware repairs.
• Document all maintenance activity and repairs in the work order system.
