Job summary

Inertia is seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to ensure safe, reliable operation of our Inertia HQ. The role covers facility, process, and laboratory equipment maintenance, as well as shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse operations.

You’ll respond to equipment and site issues, coordinate with service providers, and contribute to the Emergency Response Team. Ideal candidates have 5–10+ years in facilities or related fields, experience in warehousing, strong mechanical aptitude, and

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years in facilities, building maintenance, mechanical trades or related fields.
• Experience in warehousing, logistics, shipping/receiving, or material handling.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Laboratory or cleanroom experience is a plus.
• Machine shop experience beneficial.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, Building Management System, plumbing, compressed air, hydraulic, and fire/life-safety systems.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and blueprints.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first in-house responder for facility, equipment, and utility issues and coordinate repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance and calibration of process and lab equipment, HVAC, and building systems.
• Coordinate outside service providers for maintenance and repairs.
• Complete work orders and documentation per SOPs.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on equipment and building systems.
• Support fire and life-safety systems and hazardous-material handling.
