Job summary

Fuze Health is seeking a proactive Facilities Technician to support the laboratory team and maintain a safe, efficient workspace. This short-term assignment involves HVAC, plumbing, electrical tasks, safety inspections, and coordination with vendors for sustainable facility operations.

You will report to the Facilities Manager and may assist with the Rancho Cucamonga, CA site as needed. A strong attention to detail and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and equipment.
  • Handle minor facility repairs, such as painting, carpentry, and equipment troubleshooting.
  • Inspect mechanical and clinical equipment.
  • Disassemble machines, repair or replace broken parts, and adjust functional parts of mechanical devices.
  • Clean and lubricate equipment parts.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
  • Monitor and maintain humidity- and temperature-sensitive equipment.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Conduct safety inspections and address potential hazards promptly.
  • Be available for on-call after-hour and weekend emergency response.
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule when necessary to meet business needs.
  • Handle, maintain, and work with biohazardous and chemical hazardous waste streams in compliance with safety regulations and coordinate with respective vendors for disposal.
  • Assist in managing laboratory equipment and supplies.
  • Utilize CMMS.
  • Requisition new parts and equipment.
  • Inspect completed repairs for accuracy and quality.
  • Be part of the emergency response team.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members and contractors.
  • Provide limited guidance and direction to contractors on-site as instructed by the manager.
  • Interact with on-site housekeeping staff, management company personnel, vending companies, and other vendors and contractors as-needed for communication and coordination related to facility operations.
  • Must be willing to perform repetitive and unskilled labor actions such as gathering, emptying, and moving containers containing various materials.
  • Perform various tasks, including moving materials, setting up rooms, and assisting with relocations.
  • Assist associates with moves and relocations by moving boxes, lab supplies, furniture, and assisting with packing and unpacking.
  • Complete forms and reports related to preventative maintenance inspections.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organized appearance in mechanical and equipment rooms.
  • Work independently while meeting productivity and quality expectations.

On occasion you will be required to provide support to our warehouse facility in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, assisting with facilities-related tasks as needed. They should have basic facility maintenance knowledge, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
