Job summary

Birch Family Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our NY facilities clean, safe, and well-maintained. You will troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, and structural issues, perform preventive maintenance, and help with cleaning and snow removal across multiple sites.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years of building maintenance experience, and a valid New York State driver's license. Travel between Birch locations is expected as part of the role.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of building maintenance experience.

• Valid New York State driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots maintenance problems involving electrical, structural, plumbing and equipment repair or replacement.
• Performs preventive building maintenance duties (caulks windows & doors, repairs/replaces broken windows).
• Performs plumbing and electrical repairs as needed.
• Maintains cleanliness and performs heavy-duty cleaning tasks; snow and debris removal.
• Travels to Birch facilities and supply stores to complete tasks and procure supplies.
