Job summary

AstraZeneca is seeking a Facilities Technician with strong electrical experience to maintain plant electrical systems and perform preventive inspections. You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, coordinate with contractors, and ensure reliable operation of process equipment.

The role is full-time, on-site with on-call requirements and potential shift changes. Prior GMP/pharma maintenance experience and CMMS proficiency are highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 6 years in mechanical/electrical field.
• Maryland Apprentiship program completed and Journeyman Electrician license acquired.
• Experience in GMP biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical environments.
• Strong GMP/FDA knowledge and equipment maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with CMMS and regulated documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed electrical scope of work.
• Perform electrical installations and modifications with safety.
• Conduct risk analyses and calibrations where required.
• Coordinate with contractors for critical electrical works.
• Maintain emergency electrical distribution control system and train staff.
