VirTex Assembly Services, Inc. in Plano, TX seeks a Facilities Technician to oversee the safe operation of our facilities, perform maintenance tasks, and support manufacturing equipment maintenance. The role requires hands-on skills across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and related trades, plus a proactive, self-directed work style.

You will conduct inspections, coordinate with vendors, and maintain logs while ensuring OSHA compliance and safe working conditions for staff and visitors.

Qualifications

• Technical Skills: Expertise in HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, plus carpentry, welding; forklift certification a plus.
• Read and understand drawings, blueprints, schematics, technical manuals and work instructions.
• Strong problem-solving: troubleshoot and resolve complex facility issues independently with decisive, logical thinking.
• Self-Directed: Create and follow schedules, stay organized, prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication: interact with all levels from C-suite to staff.
• Physical stamina: climb ladders, move up to 50lbs, work outside in heat/cold, manual labor.
• Experience with basic hand tools: screwdrivers, wrenches, cutting tools, measuring tools, multimeters.
• Flexible team player: collaborate with staff across departments and adapt duties, e.g., ESD testing.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine checks, maintenance, and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Assist production team and engineers with preventive maintenance or emergency repairs of manufacturing equipment.
• Make repairs to interior and exterior building structures, including painting and door/window hardware maintenance.
• Conduct daily inspections of facilities and grounds, monitor BAS, identify unsafe conditions.
• Respond to facility emergencies 24/7 and perform necessary repairs.
• Coordinate and oversee contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or maintenance projects.
• Maintain inventory of tools and supplies needed for facility maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA safety requirements and assist safety team with drills and training.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs, including work orders and logs.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules for building and equipment (e.g., RTUs).
