Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a Facilities Technician for an on-site role in Wilsonville, Oregon. You will maintain mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, perform preventive maintenance, and respond to service requests to keep buildings running safely and efficiently.

Daily tasks include space reconfigurations, room setups for events, repairs, and asset recordkeeping. A proactive, detail‑oriented approach and ability to work with external vendors are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent certification is required.
  • 2–3 years of facilities maintenance or related technical field experience.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work at heights, and adapt to conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform small cube builds, reconfigures and space modifications for workspace changes.
  • Set up rooms for meetings, events and training with furniture and equipment.
  • Complete general repairs including patching, painting, ceiling tiles, and furniture assembly.
  • Install carpet squares and perform minor cosmetic repairs to maintain workspace standards.
  • Respond to work orders, diagnose issues and implement timely solutions.
  • Conduct regular inspections of building systems and equipment.
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities, work orders and equipment logs.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for repairs and specialized tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, codes and company policies.

Facilities Technician

As a Facilities Technician at JLL, you’ll be at the heart of keeping our clients’ buildings running smoothly and efficiently. This hands‑on role requires a proactive approach to maintaining mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems while ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for building occupants. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, respond to service requests, and troubleshoot equipment issues across a variety of building systems. What your day‑to‑day will look like:
  • Perform small cube builds, reconfigures, and space modifications to accommodate changing workspace needs
  • Set up and arrange rooms for meetings, events, and training sessions with necessary furniture and equipment configurations
  • Complete general repairs including patch and paint work, replacing ceiling tiles, assembling furniture and benches, and maintaining overall facility appearance
  • Install carpet squares and perform minor cosmetic repairs to maintain professional workspace standards
  • Respond promptly to work orders and service requests, diagnosing issues and implementing effective solutions in a timely manner
  • Conduct regular inspections of building systems and equipment, identifying potential problems before they escalated
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment logs using computerized maintenance management systems
  • Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to coordinate repairs and specialized maintenance tasks
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and company policies during maintenance and repair activities
Required qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent certification
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in facilities maintenance, building operations, or a related technical field
  • Some knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work at heights, and perform tasks in various environmental conditions
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred qualifications:
  • Technical certification or trade school training in facilities maintenance, HVAC, electrical, or plumbing
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) such as Corrigo, Maximo, or similar platforms
  • EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification or other relevant industry certifications
  • Experience working in commercial office buildings, healthcare facilities, or industrial environments
  • Basic computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Customer service orientation with strong communication skills to interact professionally with building occupants and clients
