Job summary

Consumer Cellular is seeking an experienced Facilities Technician for our Tempe, AZ location to optimize space and equipment, inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, and support office moves and remodels.

The role requires organization, the ability to manage projects with minimal supervision, strong communication with vendors and internal teams, and occasional travel.

Qualifications

Job Summary

Consumer Cellular is a growing company with multiple offices across the U.S. is currently in need of an experienced Facilities Technician. The ideal candidate will be well-organized and able to optimize the use of space and equipment while reducing operating costs. The Facilities Technician will be responsible for assisting the Facilities Manager with inspecting, maintaining, and repairing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal operating results in compliance with local, state and federal regulations. The successful candidate will work within the company's facility operations department and perform office moves and remodels. Some travel may be required.

You will need to reside within 50 miles of our contact center in Tempe, AZ. The physical location is 7410 S. Roosevelt St, Tempe, AZ 85283.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation, repair, and overhaul of all HVAC and generator systems.
• Monitor and maintain APC battery backup systems.
• Perform building inspections to determine inefficiencies and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Act as the Facilities point of contact for vendors in this location.
• Maintain access control systems including electronic doors and cameras.
• Assist with construction projects including office remodels and space planning.
• Some travel required.

Required Competencies

• Experience with Contact Centers and Data Centers a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of industry experience required either in the corporate environment, third-party service provider, or as a consultant/contractor.
• Experience in Project Management a plus.
• Ability to manage projects independently with limited supervision.
• General knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written).

Pay & Benefits Data

• Minimum Salary: $52,500
• Maximum Salary: $63,000

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
