Job Description
Position Summary

The Facilities & Shop Technician supports Samson Skyoperations and prototype vehicle development by participating in a respectfuland collaborative workplace; maintaining safe, clean, orderly, and operationalfacilities and shop areas; caring for tools, equipment, parts, and consumables;troubleshooting facility, shop, and prototype systems; and assistingengineering, fabrication, assembly, and R&D testing activities. Theposition requires a can-do mindset, adaptability, accurate documentation,practical problem solving, and consistent attention to safety, cleanliness,reliability, accuracy, and work quality.

  • • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and troubleshootor repair mechanical, pneumatic, plumbing, lighting, and basic electricalsystems within the employee’s training and authorization.
  • • Manage maintenance and shop tools, spare parts,consumables, and inventory; identify replenishment needs and supportprocurement or vendor coordination when assigned.
  • • Set up, operate as authorized, and maintain shop-supportand fabrication equipment such as CNC machines, welders, lifts, and generalfabrication tools.
  • • Support R&D operations, including test setup, teardown,equipment staging, workspace readiness, and data collection assistance.
  • • Work with engineering and fabrication teams to build, test,evaluate, and refine vehicle systems.
  • • Assist with prototype assembly, modification, fabrication,and integration, including structural, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • • Complete assigned facility and prototype-build tasks inaccordance with the project plan, drawings, instructions, and safetyrequirements.
  • • Maintain accurate inspection, maintenance, equipment,inventory, prototype-build, and test records.
  • • Coordinate facility access and provide on-site support forqualified vendors and service providers.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

This is a hands-on position in an R&D, fabrication, vehicle build,and facility maintenance environment. Required Qualifications
