Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance on base building and critical systems, and to install/repair piping, pumps, heat exchangers, and related controls. You will assist the operations team and respond to emergencies, with a focus on safety and minimal disruption.

The role involves documenting work, complying with codes, and cross-training to support ongoing facility operations and tenant services requests as assigned.

• Install and repair piping, heat exchangers, pumps, bearings, valves and related controls.
• Respond to emergencies and maintain safe, clean work areas.
• Document work performance and materials procurement as directed.
• Comply with safety procedures and regulatory codes.
• Cross-train backups and support the operations team as needed.

Job description

• Maintain Client's assets and complete preventive maintenance on all facility-based equipment.
• Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment
• Perform Pm’s as required and assigned on equipment & machinery throughout the site.
• Completes special tasks that include but are not limited to tenant services requests, and general maintenance as assigned.
• Respond effectively to all emergencies.
• Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.
• Maintain compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.
• Complies with all policies for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
• Documents work performance and materials procurement as directed.
• Other assigned operational tasks as may be typically expected of the Maintenance Mechanic role.
• Cross train back up, or others, as appropriate to the advanced level
• Performs preventive maintenance on all base building and critical system equipment which includes but not limited to: assembling all tools, supplies and instruments necessary to complete the job, performing work with a minimum amount disruption, conducting immediate cleanup of work area, completing the preventive task sheet, returning tools to workshop, and unused supplies to store room, reporting any equipment problems, impending supply or material shortages to the Manager.
• Install and repair plumbing/piping/tubing; heat exchangers; replace bearings in all types of motors; replace seals on pumps; install and repair piping, valves, filters, hot water systems and associated controls; assist other mechanics and operators with major repairs and maintenance of building and equipment.
• Maintains tools and orders supplies as required for installation and repairs
• Complies with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials
