Job summary

Buffalo Run Casino is seeking a hands-on maintenance technician to preserve the facility and grounds for guests and staff. You will perform scheduled and on-demand maintenance, ensure safety, and work with a team to keep the property in top condition.

This role requires a high school diploma, at least 1 year of related experience, and the ability to obtain a gaming license. You must be willing to work in a casino environment and maintain confidentiality and security standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License.

Responsibilities

• Check the work order schedule daily and perform scheduled or daily maintenance tasks.
• Respond quickly to on-demand maintenance and repair requests.
• Report maintenance issues to the Site Manager.
• Perform general repairs on facility and equipment (refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, etc.).
• Install and maintain industrial equipment and physical structures.
• Plant and maintain decorative plants and landscaping.
• Obtain and maintain a gaming license.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary of Duties

Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision. Interact professionally with other team members, guests, and suppliers. Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments. Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other team members and organizations. Maintain strict privileged, proprietary, guest, and employer confidentiality during and beyond the term of my employment. Adhere to all work rules, policies & procedures, and safety standards.

Position Purpose

To provide efficient and reliable maintenance services in order to preserve the facility and grounds for guests and employees.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Check the work order schedule daily upon arrival and perform any scheduled or daily maintenance tasks as needed.
• Respond quickly to on-demand requests for maintenance and repair services.
• Be observant of the overall condition and appearance of the building and grounds and report any maintenance issues to the Site Manager.
• Perform general repairs on the facility and equipment, including but not limited to; restaurant refrigerators, electrical switches, painting walls and floors, laying bricks, installing tiles, clearing clogged drains, repairing plumbing or heating & air conditioning equipment, rewiring offices, moving furniture, etc.
• Install and maintain industrial equipment and physical structures.
• Plant and care for decorative plants, shrubs, perennials, trees, and maintain landscaping materials.
• Obtain and maintain a gaming license.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Requirements

Requires problem solving skills, knowledge of general maintenance and repair techniques, and the ability to communicate effectively. Position involves prolonged sitting, walking, stooping or bending, lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds on a daily basis. Work is performed in the casino and / or outdoor environment with varying levels of exposure to the elements, noise, illumination, air quality, and / or temperature.
